How to use another computer's DVD drive across a network with macOS Remote Sharing
I'm not saying this to offend the original poster or anything; I wish that Microsoft had not taken such a hold on the world. Thanks to the ingenious creation of the iPod, Macs are coming back to the world in good time. At least I think so. If it wasn't for the iPod, I wouldn't even know half the stuff I know about computers.
Shows how much I used to know LOL. To the original poster: Unfortunately, it will not read your. Just wondering, but what would you try to run with those. I hope you didn't mean you're trying to copy programs onto a disc for the Mac. Won't work I believe, even in a PC. But that's probably wrong, and they're probably just program files that you can use.
How to Burn Files to a DVD / CD on Mac OS
You know, if everyone just used Macs, people wouldn't have. Your posts make me chuckle. It's the same story for everything. If we all ran Windows, all ran Linux Same story. Oh BMF They would, knowing Apple. Don't feel like it's just Europe being affected here, Americans do feel the same emptiness in their pockets too.
Right now, my Touch occupies that space, and I'm trying to decide if it was worth it. Ah well, the screen does make it seem like it was LOL.
If we all ran Windows, it would be painfully boring, though it would be boring to run one of anything. And if my posts make you laugh, then I'm doing a good job. I know, but they wouldn't NEED to charge more if they. When I was a little boy and my desk was occupied by a sole or was it a ?
Times change. Back in the days Just got this mac a week ago. I got office suite for mac and hoped that i would be able to copy a disc with word docs onto my mac, but it's read only. Do I have to get windows for my mac in order to transfer this data to word for mac? I saw on a thread that you can download some free software to make this happen on my mac, but now I can't find the name of it.
Help I'm new to Mac and I really love it got an iPhone, too Want to use MobileMe, but haven't really figured out the synching yet altho I thought i was following all the steps Thanks for any help. You didn't detail which one but what XP can write, the new Macosx can read. But if you installed Nero or Incd or "drag to disk" then that's not a standard and even among PCs you see trouble.
Tell a little more and why would a read only file be any trouble? Wouldn't we just unlock it?
If you have installed Office onto the Mac you should be able to open documents created on a PC using its version of Office work, excel or powerpoint. You first have to figure out which are just data files and not programs if you have any of those on the CD.
It will open a window that show the CD files in a directory format. You should be able to click on a data file in the CD window and while holding the mouse button down or touchpad button just drag the file out of the CD directory to over the desktop then release the mouse button. The data file will be copied onto the desktop. You should be able to open the data file by double clicking on the file icon you just placed on the desktop. You can then create a new folder, name it what you want by clicking on the untitled folder name and typing your desired name for it for example Files from old PC.
